My goal is to bring out the beauty of an image. I'm not a purist when it comes to a photograph. I will enhance the color, change the light, add special effects or anything else I can do to make the image beautiful. Presented as enlarged prints you will be able to enjoy their full beauty that can't be seen in the note cards. They are perfect as gifts or to frame and enjoy.

Note Cards

At this time there are 10 sets of note cards. Each set consists of 6 beautiful scenes with envelopes. Each set sells for $6.50 or 4 sets for $25.

My name is Don Broome. I live and have my main studio in Huntsville, Alabama.

North Alabama is an excellent location because it is near such a variety of scenery. Traveling to parts of neighboring states, I roam the mountains and wilderness areas of Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina. I love flowers and plants, botanical gardens, deep forest, old houses and barns, structures of character, creeks and falling water and anything unusual or with humor.

I got my love of nature from my mother. Her father was a fisherman and she was born on a raft on the White River near Clarendon, Arkansas. A childhood growing up on the tributaries of the Mississippi River, near Vicksburg, Mississippi gave her a personal relationship with nature. When I was a child, we would go fishing or take long walks in the woods and it was not unusual for her to stop and show me things that most people never see.

Using a high quality digital camera and software, I create enhanced photographic art. My goal is to bring out the beauty of an image. I'm not a purist when it comes to a photograph. I will enhance the color, change the light, add special effects or anything else I can do to make the image beautiful. Presented as note cards or enlarged prints, they are perfect as gifts or to frame and enjoy.
